Description

This young man dreams of emulating the worlds greatest ever sportsman, Muhammad Ali.

The poster on the wall shows the famous Ali v Liston second fight, Ali had already beaten the previously undefeated Liston.

This picture is the most photographed in sports history and shows Liston on the canvas with Ali urging him to get back on his feet. Ali says he never connected with Liston, it was a ‘sucker punch’ (no punch at all), most say that Liston knew he could not beat Ali and so to avoid a beating he faked a knock out and avoided any further punishment. Others say that Liston was involved with the Mafia to whom he owed money, and that he was told to throw the fight.

In reality boxing experts all agree, Liston was no match for the young Ali, how true !
